How do you check whether a BIM model contains the information that was specified? This demonstration shows automated checks of IFC models in Anker and how the results can be presented in Power BI.

Make requirements testable

Rules are used to examine model maturity and properties relating to system and component identification. The advice in the film is to check individual parameters before composite codes and adapt requirements to the objects' stage in the project.

Documentation is linked to buildings, systems, component types and individual instances. The model acts as a connection to the documents. Filtering distinguishes specific units from higher-level objects and types.

Track missing information in a shared overview

The demonstration moves from rule configuration to check results and then to Power BI through an application programming interface, API. This can give the project an overview of missing information by model and check type.

A pass rate must be read alongside the selected rules. The demonstrated check for the presence of a property does not mean the entire model is correct. Automatic transfer from the project collaboration platform is described as future development in this recording from 2023.
