The recording is in its original language; this article is an English translation.

Reusing building materials requires them to move from one project to the next. This film combines a digital visit to Ombygg at Økern in Oslo with Thomas Berge Foyn's presentation on work towards a possible reuse centre in the Molde region. The presentation is dated 14 March 2023.

Between dismantling and new use

The Oslo section shows reuse storage tents, building elements and storage examples. It distinguishes materials stored for a customer's own project from surplus products donated for redistribution. Mapping must be followed by selection, dismantling, transport, documentation and a recipient.

Experience from Ålesund and Molde

The regional section starts around 13 minutes in. Foyn, introduced as a project manager at XPRO AS, describes mobilising property owners and other parties. A practical example connects dismantled office fittings in Ålesund with new premises in Molde. Photographs show glass fronts, walls and doors, and the work involved in transport and temporary storage.

The film makes the practical tasks behind reuse visible, including protection against moisture and the need for storage space. Moving the materials is described as ongoing work, while a regional reuse centre is an ambition at the time of recording.
