Contech #16: The digital value chain
Contech #16 shows how municipal digitalisation, shared product data and practical skills can be considered together. The meeting was held at Serit Molde on 28 August 2020. Four presentations move from overarching needs to a practical task: the information that must accompany a door.
Services and a shared information foundation
Arne Ingebrigtsen, then chief municipal executive of Kristiansund, starts with residents' needs. He describes the municipality's digitalisation work, cloud services and digital access. The discussion of energy meters and open data considers how information can become easier to use and compare.
Jøns Sjøgren from Byggevareindustrien presents a draft of Digital Roadmap 2.0. The diagrams distinguish shared concepts, product data and interfaces from the solutions users encounter. The proposal is to share the necessary underlying structure so that information can follow a building from planning to operations.
Learn through a focused task
Knud Mohn from NTNU emphasises interdisciplinary work and the ability to specify requirements. Sindre Gundersen from Angvik Utvikling makes the challenge tangible with a door diagram: dimensions, fire, acoustics, locks and automation must be clarified by different parties at different stages.
A preliminary study on digitalising existing buildings and further workshops are presented as ongoing and planned work. The film provides background to the door work later followed up in Contech #19.
